How do I import my tree?
Open the editor and drop in a GEDCOM file (.ged) exported from MyHeritage, Ancestry, FamilySearch or any other program. Names, dates, places and relationships come across. You can also import a CSV, or start with a blank tree.
How do I get my tree back out?
Use Export and choose GEDCOM, CSV or JSON. These exports are always free and never carry a watermark.
How do I print a chart or wall poster?
Choose Export, then PDF, and pick a paper size from A4 up to large-format posters. Check the preview before you export.
What do I get on the free plan?
Import, edit and print in your browser. Unlimited exports carry a “Made with Lineagram” footer; you get 3 clean or large-format exports per verified email. An export pack adds 5 more.
Where is my tree stored?
On the free plan your tree stays in your browser on your device; nothing is stored on our side. Clear your browser data and it is gone, so export a GEDCOM or JSON backup regularly. Paid plans can save trees to your cloud account.
How do I use my tree on another device?
Export JSON or GEDCOM and import it on the other device, or use a paid plan with cloud save, which syncs across devices.
Are living people hidden?
Anyone who may still be alive is treated as private when you share or export in privacy mode. You can review and change this per person.
Can I try it without my own data?
Yes. On the welcome screen choose “Open the demo tree”, a fictional family you can explore and change freely.
How do I sign in, change my email or delete my account?
Account settings has your sign-in details and a Delete account option. Deleting removes your cloud data after a short grace period; your own exports are unaffected.
Something is wrong or I need a feature. Who do I ask?
Email support@lineagram.com for problems and feedback@lineagram.com for feature requests. Include what you did and, if you can, a small GEDCOM that shows the problem (remove private details first).
